The Lone Ranger

****

****

Cooper ordered the children a few episodes of the
The Lone Ranger. One night last week, after I put Eloise to
bed, I came down stairs and found him making
the children masks. What Fun!! Just one of the
reasons they are so lucky to have him as their daddy!

Mama Sara's grape leaves

The children and I had such a nice visit with Papa and Mama Sara last week. We were lucky enough to come home with fresh grape leaves from their garden.

***

Creighton and Sara-Cooper helped me make Mama Sara's stuffed grape leaves.

***
***

I really enjoyed having them for dinner.
Eating them reminded me of family gatherings at the lake house.

Homemade Soap

A late mothers day present that I adore.

Sara-Cooper made me shoes and handbags.

***

Creighton made me flowers.
(We sent a  bar to his teacher for teacher appreciation week.)

And this is Oliver's creation.
I am one lucky girl!!

A date with Oliver

Poor Oliver.

He has to go to the doctor to have alone time with Mommy!

He is making a break for it :) .

I decided to give him a treat before we picked up his sisters.
He was so excited to actually get out of the van and go inside!

A Full Day On The Prairie

On prairie day, Creighton and his class....

Learned about schooling on the prairie

***
Played lots of *prairie games*

***
***
(Look closely:  It's Sherman winning the three legged race!)

Creighton and Sherman's favorite thing: Making rag dolls:)

***

Enjoyed a game of marbles

***
Made their own butter

Went fishing with their homeade fishing poles

***

And even had time for dancing.
A Full day indeed.
There was also a horse and buggy ride and a campfire.
They enjoyed eating homeade pickles, Aunt Franci's beef stew with cornbead,
sugar cookies and lemonade.

Creighton also learned about sharing:
Oliver took his fishing pole and hat, and
Sara-Cooper helped herself to his rag doll:).

Thanks for babysitting MOM!

I really enjoyed sharing this fun day with Creighton!

Eloise and Her Big Brother

I rounded the corner and found Creighton telling Eloise "good morning" .
She is a lucky little girl to have this young man as her big brother.
****
I started noticing that every time Creighton was around the baby, her top button would be unbuttoned.
I asked him about it and he said that he unbuttons it because she looks like she is choking.
( He has done this since she was a month old:))

Things Change

It's funny to me how rules for your home and children change as your family grows.

For instance...

When did it become a rule
* that if there is still an old pizza box in the fridge*
you probably should pass on ordering pizza that night?

What about this one?  When did clean hands, feet, and teeth  become equal to a bath?

And by far the saddest ...
Sharing  now means -the stronger one gets the toy!

Boating

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Sara-Cooper was fearless. I was so impressed and proud of her.

Cooper patiently held the boat on the shore so Oliver could have his turn *sailing*.

We had such a delightful time together!
